eUtility Electric Tractor

Solectrac is the first North American company to enter the $12B US tractor market with its  zero-emission electric  tractors for agriculture and utility operations.

Industry experts are calling Solectrac revolutionary. Nebraska Tractor Test Laboratory (NTTL) Professor and Director Roger M. Hoy said, "Solectrac represents the very future of agriculture, the start of an electric tractor revolution".

In 2019, Solectrac received impressive recognition around the world. Solectrac was a finalist at Food Funded, an Entrepreneurship and Investor Fair held at the Presidio in San Francisco. Solectrac received the Innovation Award from Indian manufacturer Escorts and is an Innovation Award nominee from Canada’s Farm Progress Show.

In 2020, Solectrac earned the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution label from the Solar Impulse Foundation, recognizing Solectrac as one of the 1,000 most “efficient, clean, and profitable solutions with a positive impact on environment and quality of life”.

Prominent publications are taking note, including Yahoo News,  Market Watch, AgFunder News, and the Sonoma County Farm Bureau.

Our Electric Tractors

Solectrac currently offers two electric tractor models in the 40 HP-and-under range, the most popular tractor size in North America. A vineyard and orchard 4WD 70 HP and a row crop cultivating 30 HP tractor are currently in development and will be available in 2021.

Solectrac’s patented battery-exchange technology includes non-combustible lithium iron phosphate  batteries that eliminate the issue of limited run-time and can be recharged off the utility grid or via renewable energy sources.

Solectrac CEO Steve Heckeroth said, “With our zero-emission electric tractors, tractor operators don’t have to choose between power and environmentally-friendly practices”.

Solectrac is a California benefit corporation and a Certified B Corp, which means “the company prioritizes social and environmental impacts along with profit and is committed to using business as a force for good,” Solectrac Chief Operating Officer Heather Paulson said.
